Wesley R. Bishop is an assistant professor of American and Public history at Jacksonville State University in northeast Alabama. He serves as an editorial board member for the Journal of Appalachian Studies and is the founding and managing editor of the North Meridian Press.
His work focuses on the history of social movements, public sphere studies, and regionalism (particularly Appalachia). He writes history, poetry, and fiction.
