“Unforgotten Souls” is part of my new series “Souls,” a collection of paintings created to honor and document the lives of those who were killed during genocide in Gaza. Behind every number is a human being— a face, a name, a family, a memory, and a life that once existed. More than 70,000 innocent lives have been lost. Yet I refuse to let them become forgotten numbers in history. Through this series, I paint their souls as an act of remembrance preserving their presence through color, form, and memory. Because a life that was taken should never become a life that is forgotten. -Nada Anwar Rajab
