About the City Hall Poet: Fall 2026.

Minkah Harp is a Junior at Jacksonville State University studying English and History. From a young age, she has been passionate about writing and enjoys using writing to connect with and understand the world around her. As well as explore how literature can reflect and challenge the world around us. As a politically active and engaged citizen, she is particularly interested in local government, community issues, and the ways everyday people are affected by the decisions made in their communities. Outside of her academic work, Minkah loves to read and spend time with her cats.
